My hearing loss is mild (about 35-40 db) at low-tones, up to 1500-2000 Hz, but goes to moderate (about 60-65) at hig-tones (4000-8000). My hearing loss isd mostly innfluenced by chemo-therapy I had 5 years ago, but I'm wondering why it is so high at high-tones? I heard that lot of young generation, teenagers and in early 20-s, are suffering "noise-induced hearing loss", at high-tones only, due to lod music listening. Somewhere I read that some 17% of students has that sort of HOH in one or both ears, but less than half of them are wearing HA's. So, maybe my hearing loss is partially influenced by the same? What about yours?
My first HA was oticon BTE (analog, don't remember model), than I got pair of digital Oticon BTE's (Oticon Ergo) and finally, last year pair of "full shell" ITE (Bernafone SmilePlus) - those you can see in the picture in my profile. What type do you wear?
