These fad diets drive me nuts. When will our society realize that being thin is a biproduct of being healthy. Eating a balanced diet with even moderate excercise keeps you healthy and makes being thin a piece of cake. Eat balanced, get outside an DO SOMETHING ACTIVE WORLD! Studies have shown that exposure to the sun helps reduce cellulite and promote a healthier metabolism. (I know too much exposure can cause skin cancer, that's not what I'm trying to promote here.) Unfortunatly we all have the modern day version of Ulysses' sirens calling us to our deaths, it sits enshrined in our living rooms and we call it TV.
I leave for work about the same time as the kids are getting picked up by the bus in my neighborhood, I can't believe the percentage of kids that are overweight. How can these kids parents look at their kids gasping and wheezing from running from the TV to the dinner table and then go out and buy them more junk food, video games, movies etc.
Anyway, you may have noticed that this is a pet peave of mine.
