Your major quibbles are justified. The laser thing was fairly stupid but then again if you're going to pick apart things that aren't realistic then both the movies in their entireties could be argued. Bruce Willis was a bit ridiculous but I still found it to be humorous. Your first point is what I'm talking about for the choppy story. So they got arrested and then Damon's parents just got them out? It doesn't make much sense, and Zeta-Jone's character just decided not to care anymore out of the blue? Basically I'm foggy on how the story got from everyone being arrested, to the ending. How exactly did we get there?
