of course you can drink too much water, at some point it would make you feel "drunk", and if you drank so much you could literally drown... but you would have to drink over 20 pints in a sitting to do it.
The recomended amount if 6-8 pints a day, some people do say you will piss away some vitamins and minerals, but it certainly will do no major harm to drink that much and some people would say it does a lot of good
6-8 pints = aprox 3-4 litres in a 24 hour period
