The only issue with this is this...
Credit card companies DO sometimes 'lose' your payment. Then, if you aren't able to get the late fees and penalties taken off, you've lost all your gain from having the rewards program.
I just don't see the gain from using a credit card as a checking account. It is one more payment you have to keep up with, with the potential to cause you headaches in the long run.
