Well I managed to fix the problem with the loading up part by using HijackThis thanks Bratwurst.
The thing about reinstalling Windows though is not really something I want to do just because this Windows install is no more then 2 months old. But the good news is that I think the problem stopped because I haven't had any problems since I posted. Either its because I haven't put my GPU on underclocked settings or because I just haven't opened many firefox windows
