alternatively if you are looking for gay experience, find out where your local gay scene is, i.e. bars and clubs and go there for a night out.

the more time you spend around gay/bi people if you are bi increases your ability to spot others as there as subtle hints that can give people away that straight people dont see. Its called a gaydar as in radar for gay spotting.

I'm a bi male and it took me a couple of years to develop this, but now i can tell if someone is gay or definately not or if they have tendancies. Of course you will still get things wrong but i think its less awkward for women as guys that are really homophobic usually wanna fight you if you get it wrong!
