Even more than Bonds' numbers, look at how disruptive to the other team he is. No one pitches to him, the other team fears him, etc.... - he can destroy a team's game plan without even swinging his bat. Plus, you have to factor in someone's value to their team. Beltre and Bonds are both key to their teams, but I think that the Dodgers rely less on Beltre than the Giants do on Bonds (Pujols is out mostly because of this category - too much depth on the Cards). Overall, Bond's intimidation factor, more than his numbers (which are astronomical), lock up his MVP.
