i think there's some fetishization of the last minute conversion...but the real distortion is when the "last minute save" is compared to the person who is supposedly hell bound because they had works and no faith.
honestly, i consider it the greatest miracle of my life that God's grace has outrun my rebellion. i don't know the precision of the salvation economy...but i have great trust that the mercy is wide and deep.
