When you come into a game like that with a one-dimensional offense, you're going to lose, unless the Defense scores some major points for you. Think about this for a second all of you Mack Brown haters, how many times did Bobby Bowden lose to Miami before he started to win big? I believe it was at least five, if not more. This offense will only get better and more experienced as the season goes on, and the defense will remain the same, with only the loss of Derrick Johnson, I believe. My critique of Vince Young is this, his quirky throwing motion turns him into a 5'10" QB instead of a 6'10" QB that he should be, and, as much as he runs, he needs to learn better ball control, he puts it on the ground way too much. I say look for this offense to gel for an entire year, and then on October 8th, look for a Texas win.

Sorry but I don't see how you can say this offense is going to gel when it's biggest weapon is going away next year. The problem is every year leaving the game people are like...well if the offense gels...or if we can fill in this hole on Defense then we will be good. But year come year go Oklahoma has an answer for it.
Seriously look at what that running back did to day and he's a freakin freshman. What's going to happen when he's bigger, more experienced and faster next year?
And Bowden's season wasn't in the toilet in October every year because he lost one game. Texas considering it cohabits with OU in the Big 12 South is screwed most times because if they lose in October against OU they have to have OU lose two more games to even have a chance at the Big 12 championship game. Texas could win out and they still won't have a shot even if OSU or A&M upset OU. That's how big this game is. That's how big this game will be until either school drops off or a playoff is set up. I really wouldn't care about losing to OU if it didn't mean that the champsionship hopes were all but dead because of it but unfortunately it does.
