I think I am up one point by defeating Filtherton, Roachboy. I'm currently pretending this thread is like the story from Highlander where "their can only be one".
Also for the on-topic portion of my reponse, I don't usually believe regional papers over large national papers regarding regional stories. The large national papers seem to have less invested in a particular regional story and will be accordingly less bias.
