I'm thinking he actually meant FF3 for the NES. In my opinion, FF3 is the best FF for the NES. FF3 fixed the "ineffective" when trying to hit monsters already defeated, added classes/job to the game, added moogles, had graphics which were of a much high caliber than FF1/2 and in general was a much better game. FF3 was a bridge between the mediocre FF1 (and in my opinion FF2) and the outstanding FF4.
