There's definitely a hereditary factor to gray hair. Everyone on my mother's side of the family went gray early. My husband has some gray hairs, and he's only 26. But there's another factor for both of us: I'm a natural blonde (as in pale Malfoy) and he's a natural redhead. People with these hair colors tend to go gray early.
You can dye your hair, certainly, but you don't have to. A lot of people turn out with beautiful silver or pure white hair, like my mom and my grandfather. If you do decide to dye it, talk to a professional, because gray hair, like blonde, often takes dye very deeply and may require special treatment.
