The actual opposite of 'love' is indifference-which is basically how I feel about most 'celebrities'. (I would not, however, turn Tom Selleck away should he come knocking)
I don't pity them or hate them. Let them dig their own holes, marry 10 times or whatever floats their boats. And, if you think you may want to put some of these attention-grabbers on a pedestal-picture them on the john.....
