If I were you, I'd check the local records and see if the house has any history to it.
It maybe the spirit isn't playing with you but trying to get your attention to warn you of something or to help "it" find something to set it free.

Where in the local records would I check? Any ideas? By set it free do you mean release it from roaming the earth?
