Great Whites are there whether you "know" it or not. Another was sited about 1km off the beach at Tulum in Mexico recently. A dive trip about a year and a half ago had one circling the boat off NC (no divers were in the water at the time). They're a lot more common than one tends to think and you almost never hear of a GW shark attacking a person. Coincidence? Nope.
