I follow and agree with you.
However, I was not specificly speaking of oral recitation, but in books and scripture as well.
The collections & writings of the scripture were widely spread over hundreds of years. Parts have been rewritten and retranslated over and over. Many different people rewriting and retranslating them. There was opportunity for error.
