same workgroup? same subnet? if all else, map the cd drive from the one computer that does have one.
make sure you enable sharing of the drive on the computer with the cd-rom. then at the 'run' dialog box (Start >> Run), type
\\computername
where 'computername' would be the name of the computer which is going to share the cd-rom.
a window should pop up with the shared contents of that computer. right click on the cd-rom that shows up, select 'map network drive', select a letter and off you go.
that drive will now show up in 'my computer'.
