I was going to try Firefox, but I wanted something that was more stable, so I got 1.6 and I liked some of the themes in 1.6 better.

That is correct. Firefox is still in a beta stage, and has not had an "official" release--that will not come until release 1.0 (it is currently at 0.8). It is still very stable and usable in my experience, however, and has been since 0.6. I wouldnt recommend it if you *absolutely* need stability, but thats what the normal Mozilla is for, I guess.
