It's about equally as plausible as floating up into a great kingdom after you die (if you've been good), or going down into a firey pit to have red hot pokers shoved up your arse (if you've been bad).

So, no, I think it's complete nonsense.

Religions with a small number of members are refered to as "cults". I could never figure out the difference.
