It's about equally as plausible as floating up into a great kingdom after you die (if you've been good), or going down into a firey pit to have red hot pokers shoved up your arse (if you've been bad).
So, no, I think it's complete nonsense. Religions with a small number of members are refered to as "cults". I could never figure out the difference.

If there isn't something you can add to the discussion (which doesn't really exist yet) in the form of information on the topic, then it'll wind up getting tossed out...
...this doesn't really seem to be a philosophy thing without you first telling us what that philosophy is. Please remember to provide something to base a discussion on, not just "hey what do you think about Twinkies?" (I think Twinkies rock, btw) -analog. |

Alright, here's the info for those who haven't heard of it, or regonized what it is. I just heard of this thing a couple days ago myself, although, people talks alot about 11:11 as a time for "making a wish."

Only two things come to mind. Numerologically, those who live under the master number 11 are said to have lived as many lives as they can without moving on. The dates are odd. I find it interesting that it would end on such an appropriate gregorian calender date. I would be more inclined to put some faith in it if the closing date were, say, just over 11 months later on the last day of the Aztec calender.

lmfao!! It's the dove from above! Pity, I don't suppose you get Shooting Stars in the US. This is just stupid.
What I do find sick is that the people who make this stuff up must realise that it's bullshit, but they just do it to profit from smucks.

I too find the similarities to scientology, although more in context than in content. It is truly amazing what an individual can imagine, and even more so what those with a lack of imagination are willing to follow.
From a phylosophy stand point, there is little to see here, but from a pshycology take it is full of material.

A friend and I always talked about how we should start a cult and exploit the rubes for our own gain.
It is apparently even easier then I thought at the time.

Well, the units we use to define time are arbitrary: a second is defined as the natural resonance frequency of the cesium atom (I think). And what if the system we use to keep track of time doesn't allow for "11:11"? Would it still be the right time to make a wish? And besides, although I didn't check out that site, how did they find out all this?
