    I completely agree--I'm not sure where Germany suddenly hit this rhythm, but this is the first time we've really seen it in this tournament.

    So excited--a good friend is in PDX for the next week or so doing absolutely nothing in NoPo. We're going to watch together tomorrow, and he's promised to wear orange.

    Holy cripes that was an exciting game!
    Just finished watching it and I sure feel bad for the Brazilian fans they showed crying in the stands, especially that little boy.
    Damn, but they take their futbol seriously.

    Watched this as it happened the other day, some of my brazilian classmates were pretty much in tears. This was probably the worst beating I've seen Germany give another country since 1939.

    It's a damn shame that Netherlands played so well for so long, only to lose on penalty kicks. Oh well, one team has to win, one eam has to lose.

    Mentioning losers, a huge

    Ha, ha, and ha!

    to the Brazilian team and their fans (they remind me too much of the dallas cowgirls organization and their fans). A close low scoring game would've let them maintain at least some dignity and come up with plausable excuses for the losing. Getting humiliated 7-1 is an old fashioned ass kicking that no amount of excuses can soften.
