In the DSM5 I think they are listed under Antisocial Disorder.

Not to mention narcissistic and histrionic personality disorders.

  3. Maybe it has been addressed on this thread, but I'm too lazy to go through all of the posts.

There are parodies of this video now. I don't know how I feel about. Part of me just wants to laugh, but then again, I don't like making light of the situation. Regardless of how sound the experiment is, I still don't think there should be a video about Princess Leia getting cat called by Spock or whatever Stargate characters those were. (I didn't actually watch the video because I was sort of miffed that there is a parody. I should do that to see if there is a moral at the end of the story.)

Free country or whatever, but it's an issue if we're making fun of how women are being treated.

Anyone remember "#AlexFromTarget"? He was famous for all of five minutes because girls thought he was cute, and now he's been doxed and gotten death threats. So we've got a video where a man gets catcalled, a video proving only a handful of people would even so much as say "hi" or "have a nice day god bless" out of tens of thousands she walked past, a video where a woman is basically ignored, and a case study of a man who got turned into a stalkerish meme because women found him attractive and wound up getting death threats and his social security number posted online.

Mental health may well be a serious contributing factor here.

There's a difference between parodying a cackhanded racist and classist attempt at starting a moral panic and parodying how women are treated. Now I'm going to be generous and assume you weren't saying women should get special treatment and you'll apply that standard equally.

Also before anyone posts it the "social experiment" video with the girl pretending to be drunk was completely staged.

In real life, I'm not terribly social, so my general rule is to leave women I don't know strictly alone. I don't greet them or call any attention to myself in any way.

Of course, there have to be exceptions to this rule. For example, it's poor form to ignore a woman on the street who appears to be on fire. But even so, I have to watch my words very carefully...

    I don't think I said this above.

Catcalling: Totally wrong, and there is no excuse for it.

However...the woman in the video is smoking hawt.
