As long as the majority's new introduction doesn't trample on our Constitutional freedom, I don't think tea partiers will revolt.

No, because the corporations are following the letter of the law. We put those dirty politicians that were bought and paid for into office, therefore it's our responsibility to remove them. And me must do that through the electoral process. Further, Americans put themselves into debt, it wasn't forced upon them. So the blame gets spread around on this one.

Corporations make their money by selling the consumers their wares. So we the people can also stop buying their wares. We're not powerless. Don't be yapping on an iPhone while holding your sign that says down with Capitalism, down with corporatism. When you bought that iPhone, laptop, or gameboy you put money right into the pockets of the corporations.

Obviously, you don't know what corporatism is. Your buddy Ron Paul is against it.

Wouldn't it be cool if politicians had to wear logos of all of their sponsors (contributors) - a bit like the advertising logs on the suits worn by F1 drivers?

Or, of course, those contributions could just be made public knowledge.

As there's little else in that neck of the woods, probably both.

Most of us aren't single issue voters, though.

And there is more than one answer to corporatism.

Clean government is one, for example.

Which is why, from my viewpoint, Paul is the only option. He's the only candidate who's not tainted with corporate money. He's the only politician willing to audit the Fed and find out just were the dirty money goes. I can't think of another candidate who fits that's description.

For the record, I can't vote. Something to do with some nationality BS.

However, I get the impression that he really wants no government (and the gold standard sounds flaky to me). Have I got the wrong impression?

I'm also not wild about massive deregulation (though the regulations that serve corporations rather than consumers could go - but I'd like proper regulation instead).

Ron Paul lays out a smorgasbord, for sure. I agree with him on some issues (left-leaning Sunday libertarian, I am) but most of his ideas are too radical for me to even consider - his free market answer to corporatism, for instance, which continues to excuse out of control corporations and places all the blame on "big government" - his solution? Abolish the corporatist model entirely. Ron Paul's definition of corporatism is his own interpretation of it and does not reflect the ways in which corporatism can and has worked for the benefit of everyone. After all, we are a corporatist nation - Ron Paul would like to do away with the model rather than see balance restored to it.

Come on dude, has the propaganda really gotten to you that much? He's running for President. How can you run for President if you don't want a government? The President makes up the executive branch of the government.

His plans appear to be missing large parts of it, though.

I like him being around as a politician, but as President? I'm not from the USA but it would still worry me if I thought he had a chance of being elected.

    Nuff said.
