The only good news re Florence is the tracking has been pretty accurate, which has helped with planning and evacuations. Unfortunately the rainfall is going to cause major problems over a widespread area.

    Positive thoughts for everyone affected.

I talked to Cinn yesterday and both of us (as of this posting) are fine. We are pretty far inland, so it should just be a bad storm when it hits us.

This is a weird thread to announce this in, but Cinn and I are no longer together but remain friends. We separated about 4 months ago.

Y'all be careful of flooding, no matter how far inland you are.

I'm sorry to hear about the separation, but at least you're still on good terms.

Positive thoughts and good karma sent!

It's all good guys, we are really cool with each other. We were adults about it and didn't throw our own drama around on social media. A ton of people did not know we broke up.

She is doing good and making her life in NC. I'm moving the fuck away from NC and she totally understands why. We good. I wish her the all the best in the world and hope she is truly happy where she is at (she seems to be).

Relevant to this thread: Light Rains and dark clouds. Looks like the hurricane might skirt past us totally.

High Friday was only 62° not much warmer Saturday.

Beautiful here, as well. Mid seventies and sunny. We went to a BBQ at some friends who live on a lake. Had a nice ride on a pontoon boat. Not much speed, max is about like a fast walk, but fun in the sun.

The lake was horse shoe shaped, about two miles by on half mile. A dredged sand pit about a hundred yards off of the Platte River. Area locals say that the Platte is "a mile wide and an inch deep."

It doesn't take much to be a lake in Nebraska. If a mud puddle doesn't evaporate within a two weeks, they give it a name and call it a lake.;)

Approximately 60 degrees here right now. Blinding sun, no clouds. And snow by midnight. Dropping to around 20 overnight with up to 6 inches. That is life on the front range.
