Dammit, all I asked for from Mother Nature while I was stuck in Louisiana was a damn hurricane. They're getting it this year instead.

It's hot as balls. It was 99* with about 92 percent humidity. Makes all yoga hot yoga... bleech...

 

Waiting on the rain, hoping that TS Bill keeps moving west. Even if the center make landfall near Matagorda Bay, about 100 miles SW of Houston, we're still in for some potentially serious rain.

 

It's over 80 and the peninsula is on fire.
Welcome to a hot summer in Alaska.
Since our other option is constant rain, it's a toss up.

 

Sunny at six o'clock and supposed to get to 85F but everything smells like wood smoke.
The fire is up to a thousand acres.

 

Fucking hot. And smokey. And humid. It's disgusting.

 

So Bill is now moving north/northwest, bringing the strong side closer to Houston.

We're now getting a light but steady rain, with a few brief breaks. There's going to be some street flooding in the usual low areas, but for the most part the runoff is.....running off.

I'm awaiting Noah and the ark, we're way past 40 days and 40 nights.

 

Currently, I had to get two packs of ice to transport my groceries the 30m home AND turn the air vents on them. My phone has given me a temperature alert twice. I'm melting. And I'm damn well going to bitch about it. No worse than the snow complaints. Ha ha!
