I don't mind a bit of snow. I just hope it has all moved through the area and gotten far enough east that I don't have to deal with it on my travels this week.

right now polar air is sweeping the mid west, so its cold here, and the wind is making it colder, no moisture, so no ice and snow, just damn cold.

High in the 60's. I can deal with this version of a Vegas winter. That 30's crap last week was no Bueno!

Hot, breezy and fairly humid. We're about 1/3 of the way through summer and temperatures have just started hitting the 25-28C mark fairly regularly. I work about 38km inland from where I live (which is fairly close to the ocean) and the temperature difference between home and office is about 3 degrees in summer.

Yes, I love it...especially since I'm at home being a remote technical advisor.

But I did have to go out in it briefly...and it's like the friggin' govt didn't get the LONG notice that we were going to get it. (at least down here, you may have a different situation in your area)
The roads are unplowed, no sand on the street...and of course, all the idiots and assholes are out on the road.

AND the mgmt of all these businesses are having to do their annual "lessons learned" on snow...and have asked their whole staff to come in without delay.
And in turn...after all the chaos, "How could this happen??"

You'd think everyone would have figured it out by now.
I'd not like this is Atlanta GA where it's rare.
DC/Baltimore gets snow every year...and they do the SAME stupidity every year with the first snow. (and then overkill, after EVERYONE screams)

DC/Baltimore can't handle weather of any kind, including sunshine on the Beltway.

Apparently none of these motorists has ever heard of sunglasses.

Once again the warm air from the Gulf of Mexico protected the south side of Houston from the freezing temps. Houston is so sprawling there can be a five degree, or greater, temp difference between the north side and the south side.

    friggin' cold, 5 degrees
    this morning
Zero to minus 10( with wind chill.)

This is not typical for this region (so hush Canada and northern states)

I read the new 95 express lane couldn't open up their gates for the northern morning commute.
That has to be nasty.

I let the dog out briefly to take a very quick morning piss...I'll walk her longer when it warms up "a bit".

-9 degrees more, and you'd be -40 no matter Celsius or Fahrenheit.
    That's where they meet.

    I guess that's because it's getting closer to Absolute Zero ;) (0 K or -273 C)

I was up in Calgary one January for work, experiencing that.
    Not my cup of tea.
Hey, anywhere...where you have to plug in your cars...keep alive your "inorganic" things...is WAY to cold.
But those guys, put me to shame...casually saying, I remember when one time in the Tundra, I drove my big rig up a river (frozen solid, of course)
    Geez

Mother Nature is paying me back for teasing @Baraka_Guru yesterday. Hard freeze last night and a few more times this weekend. It's 42* now. Hubs has his nose job in the morning and we have to be there by 6am. I'm anticipating ice as its raining off and on.

Yup. Not a lot, but visible earlier on Jacksonville. The humidity dropped now, so it's just fecking cold.

I want snow, but instead it's just been incredibly foggy, which makes my commute awful.
