I watched the pilot of "Death Valley" last night. I'll watch another episode.

Not that I didnt like the concept of the show, because I love the graphic series, but the writing on the show was horrible. They kept shoehorning stereotypical TV plot points into the story arc, basically taking a giant shit on the comic. Darabont actually fired all of last seasons writers right after the season finale, and was mostly writing the second season by himself, with some help from staff writers and Kirkman. With the tone of the series, and the budget needed to do it justice, this show should never have been on a small fry like AMC, but more like HBO or FX.

DAKA DOING VERY NICELY, THANK YOU

I find it hard to watch commercial TV, too many Pharma. commercials, "ask your doctor", that is a sure way to loose a good MD.
The Glades is the corniest show I have seen lately, terrible acting, bad scripts...
Mostly I watch movees, we have Uverse in our neighborhood now..so we have all the SHOWTIME, HBO, etc at less cost (for now) than we had with DISH or Comcast...infortunately how many times can you watch the same movies, over and over, and......

Sons of Anarchy is about to start up. That has been a pretty consistently good series.

I love to catch "Oddities" whenever I can. A show based on a small antiques store named "Obscura" on East 10th St in NYC. Some fantastically odd patrons come in and out of the place, with some swag that's equally as bizarre.

I would say "Rescue Me", but this final season has been painful to watch. It's a bad soap opera at best, and the penultimate episode had such bad acting, I nearly turned it off. I will say, I anticipate the finale given the final 10 minutes or so of the previous episode, and seeing how they wrap up what was otherwise a great series.

Im loving Misfits, but I'm hearin that Robert Sheehan isnt returning for season 3, so its put a damper on finishing up season 2.

That would put a damper on the 3rd season. He brings a lot of life to that show.

Totally addicted to Sons of Anarchy... thanks for the recommedation. S was up at 5:30 am the day of playing golf to watch it, then started again after he got home until about 2am again.... I'm still a season behind him. But I even watched two full seasons in about 3 days. It's great to watch while you're cooking, too. Yay for iPad Boxee app.

The only shows I watch right now are Community, Parks and Rec, and The Office. This winter I intend to watch s3 of The Wire, and s2 of Breaking Bad. Long term plans include watching all of Battlestar Galactica. Someday.

Terra Nova was okay. A little Animal-Planet-y, but decent.
I finally caught up on Sons of Anarchy. Max likes this one, too.
Misfits was okay, did I mention that?
So glad House, Dexter, Big Bang, and such are back.

The wife and I tried both Terra Nova and Pan Am. Both were ok. Will need to see a couple more episodes before I decide whether its a keeper or not.

Modern Family!! Also Big Bang Theory, Wipeout (guilty pleasure at seeing people willing let themselves get smacked around), Dexter and Blue Bloods.

I can't get enough of Community and Parks & Rec. Its really sad that these amazing shows struggle in the ratings while crap like Big Bang Theory, Mike & Molly, and Two and a Half Men get millions upon millions of more viewers. I can't stand anything that appears on CBS. Sometimes I really question the intelligence of most of America.

Some of us still like the classic sitcom setup, that's all.

  17. Regarding Terra Nova...this. I so want it to replace LOST, but I'm not sure if I'm feeling it. I'll probably watch a couple more episodes, but if it doesn't get better, I'll probably ditch it.

I caught "Homeland" after the Dexter premiere. I hadn't heard of it until it came upon, but I'm really feeling it after the pilot episode. A couple interesting story lines and plot twists already developing. Monday mornings are going to be hard for me this fall/winter now that I'll be staying up two hours later...
