Food What's For Dinner Tonight?

Marinaded salmon filets, red skin Yukon potatoes with dill and red onion, asparagus and three cheese bread. All on the grill. Might be one of the best meals I've prepared. The marinade was excellent.

tonight it's leftover's for us... yesterday we had a beeeg family lunch (my gran is visiting from the UK) so her 6 kids + spouses + children all gathered at one siblings house and each brought what they would have made for sunday lunch... this ranged from Roti & Curry to Pork, Lamb and beef roast to roast taters to fried rice to chicken pie to roast chicken to an array of veggies and salads... It was like Christmas lunch all over again!!!

and everyone took home whatever they wanted so we're having that for Din Dins tonight YAY no cooking for me

 

I'm going to make an orzo sailed with goat's milk feta, garbanzo beans, black olive slices, tomatoes, and organicville salad dressing. Some avocado on the side.

 

I won't lie. I'll probably have tater tots at the indoor soccer field's bar after my game tonight.

 

It's hard to cook when it's so hot but I will probably end up making lentil soup accompanied by some spinach mashed potatoes.

 

I have lots of eggs to use up so I'll probably be making breakfast for dinner tonight.

Fresh herb and honey roasted chicken with apricot chili sauce; pilaff of faro with shallot and slivered almonds; steamed artichokes with garlic margarine; steamed asparagus with green beans and carrots; slaw of celery with jicama, fennel, and green apple. All organic.

Served with a 2009 Cotes du Rhone white.

Behold.

Red potatoes, yellow and orange bell peppers, and red sweet peppers from the farmer's market, roasted with sweet and purple basil picked from the garden moments before it went into the oven.
There was also some guacamole and paprika chicken, but the potatoes were the real feature tonight.

 

Having friends over for the red sauce I put on at noon, garlic bread, and pasta.

 

We had incredible Thai curry earlier...my favorite. But in my cocooning state I find that I feel hungry again. Dammit.

 

Scotch and chocolate.
