Tell me more about steaks in bourbon. I've never done that myself.

Well this one I got from my dad who was visiting...

The steaks marinate in it faster, due to the whiskey.
Used Jim Bean Bourbon for this one. (just a 1/4 pint)
Simply marinate with a bit in a pan...it doesn't take long. (I don't like a bowl since it uses more bourbon and doesn't distribute as evenly)
Flip them over after some minutes to get the other side.

First time we did this, he broiled them...came out decent. We weren't used to using my broiler.
This time I did it, I pan seared them...with a bit of pepper...I wanted to bring a bit more color on the outside.

Now this time it was excellent...the searing brought out the taste...and a nice warm pink on the inside. Perfect.

  3. Just bourbon, nothing else? Interesting. Will have to try.

ZOMG peach bourbon popsicles. I take it all back. I don't think I'm going to change a thing.
They fully froze and are now wonderful frozen happy bombs.

They go nicely with my repeat of last week's pasta and skillet roasted veggies salad with salsa and fresh avocado.

Gots a gas grill, though I like to put a piece or two of hardwood on top of the burner to get a nice wood-grilled thing going. Brushed the chops and the cow with a simple bbq sauce of Simply Heinz ketchup (no hfcs), raw honey, celery salt, cracked pepper, paprika, cayenne, and tamari.
