Last night I made garlic soup and served it up with sourdough bread and a fried egg for each of us. Since I have a cold, it seemed like a medicinal thing to eat.

Faux Pho from Mark Bittman. Sooooo good. We used actual star anise and it was amazing.

A chicken salad sandwich on whole wheat with a glass of water. For some reason I wasn't that hungry tonight.

    I'm cooking! I'm cooking!

Just angel hair and meatballs. The little bottlecap likes it. I feel like making her happy.

A giant bone-in ribeye, baked potato, and veggies.

I'm thinking about grilling it despite the snowstorm we're having all afternoon/evening. Worst case it goes in the cast iron skillet.

I'm currently eating a smoked meat sandwich with Camembert cheese and Dijon mustard.

I'm several generations removed from my French heritage, but it's not showing. Well, with the exception that I've used pain de qualité inférieure and I'm not washing it down with a glass of Beaujolais and/or a cup of ridiculously dark roasted black coffee.
