Mmm, second dinner was more of that Kashi Cinnamon Crumble deliciousness.

Conservatively, I've probably eaten fifty boxes of the stuff since the new year.

Really nice cheeseburgers ($11 for each, those motherfuckers), french fries, butter chicken, prawn curry, butter naan.

    Oh mama.

This season's inaugural grilling venture was flat iron steak quick-marinated in EV olive oil, tamari, granulated garlic, and cracked black pepper, caressed by the flames to a most glorious mid rare; paired with carmelized onions and sliced garlic.

The chili came out with a beautiful smoky flavor courtesy of the chipotles.
And the side of fresh corn bread was the perfect complement.
Full tummy, kids in bed, I'll be lucky to make it to 9:00 tonight still awake.

I master chefed something special tonight.

I boiled some potato and at the same time steamed brocoli, carrot and a leak.

While they were going I fried some bacon.

When that was done I mixed some milk and mint into the potato and mashed them. I then made some cheese sauce (adding french mustard and black pepper like a chef).

I pre heated the oven at 200 C, and got a dish. First I poured in the veg and bacon, then I covered that in cheese sauce, then I put the mashed potato on top of that. Then I got a hotdog roll and mashed it up to make crumbs on top of the potato. 15 mins in the oven.

    Very nice it was.

Roy's... not my first choice, but some friends wanted to go. I think they think a little too much of themselves, but whatever.
The boys have been enjoying air conditioned TPC viewing with an open bar, clean restrooms, and free food... free tickets, too... since 10am.
    Should be an experience.

S made Rachel Ray's southwest turkey burgers, which were phenomenal, and zucchini fries. Yummmmo.

I can't compete with Borla and his vacation food porn, but I surely enjoy what I do have!
They call it a Cowboy Burger: burger with chili, cheddar, onions (both sliced and diced), and tomato. Chips and pickle on the side with a tasty beverage to chase it is yummy! Gotta eat it open faced with a knife and fork.

Whole grain, omega spaghetti with my homemade red gravy (ground sausage and mushrooms) that I pulled out of the freezer this morning...
and some thin-sliced, sauteed squash, zucchini, mushrooms, garlic, green onions and matchstick carrots with all kinds of spices and topped with a little shaved parmesan. Eating healthy (and out of the fridge) rocks.

Pork two ways. Breaded poached egg on top of pork shoulder confit on top of pork belly on top of polenta. Soooooo good.

I am going out for some meaty goodness tonight as well. Sio Bak (i.e. roasted pork belly), Char Siew (BBQ pork) and BBQ chicken wings.

Chased by some very cold beer.
