Just got home from class and made a Veggie Burger with hot sauce and poured a glass of Cabernet.

The wife is going to make homemade fried chicken. I probably haven't had that in a year or better. *yum*

This was last night, but: Thai food!

Spring rolls, salad rolls, mango salad, tofu satay, and eggplant in black bean sauce with steamed vermicelli.

    Bear Cub Goes down smooth.

Went out with LBC, my boss, and his wife. Ate a family-style meal of shrimp and spinach scampi pasta, spaghetti and meatballs, spicy chicken rigatoni, and lasagna. Needless to say, we had leftovers.

Tonight we went here for dinner: http://nativefoods.com/

I had the Carribean Queen burger--it's actually made with seitan, and it's delicious. Baraka_Guru, if you are ever faced with a chance to eat at Native Foods, DO IT--everything is vegan.

It looks like it's American only, but it looks good.

There are several vegan-only restaurants here in Toronto, only a handful of which I've been to. I should make a point of doing a circuit. Here's one I've been to (albeit over 10 years ago) that's fairly popular: http://www.fressenrestaurant.com/fressen/index.php

I've been meaning to go back. When I was there, they did an awesome gluten steak.

Actually, I've been to their sister restaurant a few times: Urban Herbivore. But that's more of a soup and sandwich shop. Very, very good though.

There's a Jamaican vegan place called One Love that I've been meaning to check out. I've had their legendary corn soup a couple of times at a vegetarian event. Very delicious.

Also, I'm going to Rancho Relaxo with arkana on Wednesday. It's not vegan-only, but you can veganize everything on the menu: they change it to soy sour cream and cheese, steak, chicken, whatever. I love it there.

This was the first place I've been to that's part of a chain, and I was impressed.
