Food What's For Dinner Tonight?

    Italian beef sandwiches. Probably too early to think about dinner, but it's a crock pot recipe so I should get a pass. :p

    Split pea soup made with a Ham bone from Honey Baked Ham store...takes about 4 hours to simmer all the meat off the bone (there was a ton of it)
    This is so good I used 2 packs of split peas and will put batches in freezer bags for later on...

    DAKA I love home made split pea with ham or bacon in it.
    Tonight we had a very simple venison stew: Some carrots, potatoes, parsnips and onions simmered with the meat in a slightly spicy sauce in the crockpot.

    We are going to visit some friends and watch the All-Star game. I'm taking a bunch of snacks, so it is likely dinner will consist of chips and guacamole. I'm not complaining.
