    I just got a pound and a half of Macrobrachium rosenbergii (freshwater shrimp) which I will be steaming and then lightly tossing with some EVOO and herbs and serving with some China rice >>> i.e., it's from China, Texas, the Slack family's fifth generation of organic rice farmed in Texas.

    I was planning on having some extra sharp Tillamook on my tacos. With cheese prices on the rise, I find myself buying sharp more often and using less.

    I sauteed chopped baby yukon gold potatoes, turnip root, zucchini, yellow squash, roasted garlic, and green beans; then added pre-sauteed thinly sliced leeks, mushrooms and brussel sprouts; tossed in matchstick carrots, a little finely chopped poblano and a chopped rotisserie chicken breast and poured two boxes of Emeril's chicken stock over top. Dumped in some salt, thyme, rosemary, and black pepper... put the lid on for 30 minutes. Just went back and added three handfuls of barley. There's half a baton of multigrain loaf warming in the oven. It all smells delicious.

    Roasted some brussel sprouts and red grapes in the oven tossed with some olive oil and smoked salt. Serving them along side some burgers topped with Pannaro cheese, bacon, and avocado.

    Kraft Dinner. It's what we eat during midterms, yo.

    And noodle, I am so going to make a veggie version of your soup. It sounds delicious.

    I just need to pick up a can of coconut milk and I will have what I need to make curried sweet potato soup.

    I haven't decided what else to have with it.
