My wife picked up a whole red snapper for herself and a prime ribeye for me. Some salad and home made hashbrowns for sides. Good stuff.

Pappa's BBQ gets about $8.50 for the bacon cheeseburger which is double meat (I don't know what the meat weighs), and $2.75 for hand cut fries which is enough for two adults. One burger and one burger basket runs us about $21.50. Drinks extra.

BTW my wife is a Brit, but now very much American.....and Texan.

Most thing I hated about British food. The bacon sucks.

We have a "five guys" in Tulsa. I don't care that I get to eat peanuts while I wait too long for my food. I also paid 10$ USD for a 5 $ burger. I won't go back

On this same note we went to Outback tonight after the photo sitting.
The steak was tough, the blooming onion was greasy and I paid way too much for our menu choices, however the service was exceptional. I won't go back......or outback....whatever

    Went to an Asian bistro

    Sushi - a rainbow roll
Pork dumplings (meh, I've had better)
A good Duck & Noodle entree
Roast duck in a dark broth
    Flavored by leeks
    And includes thin noodles

The duck was tasty and rich
(The bones were still in, so that was a challenge)

Yesterday we had a late & large lunch* while out shopping, so dinner was simple (Sunday dinners are typically big, but not necessarily fancy): Sweet Italian sausage grilled in a griddle bottom cast iron skillet, med egg noodles, & lima beans.

    * A lot of folks criticize Chili's, and similar places such as Applebees, TGIF, etc.. Our meals at Chili's have been mixed in quality, but never totally bad. Yesterday we did the Two For $22.00. The guacamole was very good, my chicken quesadillas were good (not proper Mexican great, but good), and my wife said her burger was very good. She also got fresh hot fries because I forget to specify non-seasoned (no black pepper). Our waitress was very understanding.

I made wonderful stuffed bell peppers. Baked them with a whole jalapeno in the core. The rice stuffing included spicy ground sausage, turnips, celery, onions and tomatoes.

Working to lose the four pounds I gained on the recent road trip, so am back to watching the carbs and sodium. I had a chopped green salad with vinegar, oil, and a little mayo. A grilled pork chop with cauliflower and a few brussels sprouts. A pear for dessert.

Too long? They have a strict time model delivery. They spend a lot of money mystery shopping their franchises in lieu of any advertising. Burger should be delivered in 7-10 minutes after the register receipt is rung up. This is even if there are lots of people in front of you.

As for it being a $10 in Tulsa, I'm sure it's expensive but it can't be as much as it is in the NYC Times Square location which is... wait you got must have gotten a double patty burger. Yeah that's not worth it. Small burger.

You saved me some, right? ;)

It's about time for me to make some of my secret use-more-seasoning-than-the-recipe-calls-for meat sauce. Recently we cooked eggplant parmesan using jarred sauce; it just wasn't the same.

The commercials for Katz's Deli in Houston makes it a point to mention "real" and "authentic" NYC deli. Yes, the food is good...........but they brought the NYC prices with them .
