Last night I cooked Alpo (one of my aunts used to "throw together" whatever was handy, and one of my uncles called it Alpo).

Mixed veggies boiled with eggs noodles, heated cream of mushroom soup, & heated leftover taco meat mixed together. FWIW it tasted a lot better than it sounds. Really ;).

Tonight I baked boneless center cut pork chops seasoned with garlic powder and Worcestershire sauce, served with lima beans and carrots.

Note--The instructions on the frozen lima beans said to boil them on HI for 20-25 minutes.
    WTF?!
I cooked them as usual, about eight minutes.

    Last night was KISS:

Thick 90/10 ground beef patties, flavored with garlic powder & Worcestershire sauce, broiled, topped with sharp cheddar cheese. With Dijon mustard, and bleu cheese dressing, for dipping. Frozen mixed veggies, boiled.

Sandy made pintos and ham, bone and all, corn bread. She cooked it a week ago with fried potatoes and onions and we are having the left overs. That type of food always tastes better after it sits a few days.

Told me wife to relax tonight since it's our anniversary and I'd take care of dinner.

Made a big green salad which I forgot to take a pic of (picture mixed greens, kale, spinach, all kinds of other appropriate veggies, cheese, croutons, etc. :p ), then this stuff:

Last night we ate out after test driving a vehicle. Mamacitas is a popular Mexican food restaurant with several locations in & around Houston. At the location near Johnson Space Center--the original restaurant IIRC-- I had chicken mole and my wife had seafood enchiladas (sorry, folks, we didn't take photos). The food was excellent, although a bit pricey IMO (but I'm cheap ;)).

The service left a lot to be desired. Our waitress was trying to cover too many tables, and the folks going around taking care of refills weren't on the ball. It was also clear that the "regulars" had priority, which I somewhat understand, but it does piss me off when it's excessive.

I expect great service, particularly if I am new to a restaurant. I have waited tables and always tip 20%, it's hard work when done right. The regulars can wait IMO
