V Pizza. They make an amazing gluten free with tons of spicy meat. That's why I did 75 minutes of power yoga this morning, ha ha.

I'll be cooking black-eyed peas, with seasoned ground beef added. My wife is going to do cornbread from scratch.

I'll be thinking about Popeye & Ralphie.

I'm eating fried fish. Caught it with Aunt Bee. Will cook it in corn oil, will have slaw and fried potatoes with it.

I'm boiling peanuts that I borrowed from a farmer. Using the cajun spicy method. Let's hope they turn out!

Noyb I'm somewhat of a black eyed pea connosseur. I grow three rounds each year and keep the best strain to plant for next year. My longest is about 15 inches thus far and all pea. Love me some BEP. Love me some cornbread too. I'm known to make a mountain of pone for guests. No sugar. All Southern. Some rise, some don't.

Black eyed peas are a way of life in my household. I'll even bring in a cantaloupe and slice it up with the peas. Add some red peppers and sweet onions.

10" heritage cast iron skillet (hot) 8" (medium) 6" (mild but with kernels) and I top it off with the cutest little Lodge cast iron pone of about 3". I think it was originally supposed to be an ashtray but makes a great little topper to my mountain of pone.

DAKA DOING VERY NICELY, THANK YOU

    Matzo Brei

Keep it simple: eggs, matzo, salt, and pepper, mixed into a batter and fried in oil till crisp and golden
    • 2 Sheets of Matzo
    • 2 Eggs
    • Salt and pepper
    • Break matzo into 1/2" pieces; place in a medium bowl. Cover with very hot tap water. Let stand for about 30 seconds, then drain. Beat eggs in another medium bowl; season with salt and pepper. Add drained matzo; mix until combined and a wet batter forms. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Spoon scant 1/4-cupfuls of batter into skillet, making 4 pancakes. Fry, turning once,
    • Serve with maple syrup, jam or whatever
    • ****************************************************
    • I use one egg, cold water, and make one large "pancake"

    Last night was...
Stuffed green bell peppers. Ground beef with onions, garlic, some herbs (not sure what my wife used), Worcestershire sauce, beef bullion cube, strewed tomatoes, and rice.

Last night they deep fried a turkey.

Tonight I thawed out meat sauce. Made some sweet potato starch noodles. Drank a glass of wine, and enjoyed being home away from family.

I actually made some yummy soup. Didn't think that was gonna happen, I usually fail at soup (of all things to fuck up...)

My own spin on thai soup with carrots, onions, mushrooms, bean sprouts, chicken, broth paste, fish sauce, garlic, cumin, curry spice, lime and coconut milk. And water of course. Man, try it!
