    I'm a bachelor tonight so it's leftovers--Pork roast & onions, oven roasted potatoes, to be followed later by apple pie & ice cream (the IC isn't leftover :D).

    We had chicken stir fry. Supposedly it was a legit, fairly authentic traditional Chinese recipe. It was good, but that is more my wife's style of dish than mine.

    Lentil soup made with Puy lentils, the little green guys. They stay firmer. It was delicious over brown rice.

    Sautéed mushrooms, chicken sausage, leeks, shallots, and garlic... added some red sauce I froze awhile back. Added artichoke hearts and black olives, then some spinach ribbons and simmered while the sweet potato vermicelli cooked. Fecking delish. Topped with a little shaved parm and asiago from trader Joes. With some two-buck-chuck cab. Not bad.

    I made my award-winning chili paleo with Japanese sweet potatoes and butternut squash instead of beans. It still has Guinness and cocoa powder but no brown sugar, so it's almost paleo.

    One of the containers that we pulled from the large freezer the other day wasn't pinto beans, it was spaghetti sauce. Since that's what I had for lunch yesterday, for dinner we went with chilli & flour tortillas. My wife made a large batch, 29 to be exact, of ginger snaps for desert.
