Mini-meatloaves (grassfed beef, Organicville ketchup and mustard sauce, onion, egg, and spices) and oven-baked sweet potato fries (Japanese sweet potato, fleur de sel, pepper, smoked paprika, arrowroot starch, and coconut oil). Fandamntastic.

Last night was chili (Wendy's recipe) and cornbread.

Tonight will be traditional beef roast done in the slow cooker. Blackberry & apple pie or cobbler, with ice cream, for dessert.

We had chili for dinner last night, too. We did a chili cookoff as a theme for our tailgater. I took black bean sweet potato chili. My auntie brought some straight-up regular chili, and I ate that, too, with Fritos, sour cream, and cheese. It was sooooo goooood.

Tonight is the venison heart. After doing a beef heart several weeks ago, my wife wants to give it a try. Since it is actually a muscle, it isn't like most organ meat.

This was my appetizer for tonight.

Tuna Tartare. Diced avocado underneath it.

Sea salt, jalapeƱo, red pepper, egg yolk, egg white, habanero, and garlic as garnishes to pile on it as you eat.

Yesterday we had TG dinner at the rehab facility where my MIL is. Other than the turkey (pretty good) & gravy (OK for what is was) the meal reminded me of public school cafeteria food.

Today we're cooking our TG dinner:
    Glazed ham....spaghetti squash....green bean casserole....baked yams....apple pie.

Venison roast. My wife goes crazy eating venison every time I get a deer. She loves it and would fix it several times a week if it were just up to her. I have to remind her that the season is limited, and if she still wants some for spring/summer, we better ration it a little more. Last year we did pretty good with that, still had a roast or two hanging around until recently. We'll see how it goes this year, there is a possibility of getting another deer next weekend. If so, we'll be set for a while.

My wife claims to be able to throw together an awesome 'last minute' mac & cheese.
    After 27+ years I'm still waiting :p.
