What is your earlest memory as a child and how old were you?

Remixer you remind me of my oldest son when he was a kid. Always pushing the limit on injury. lol So many stitches he had as a tot, but no broken bones.

When I first learned how to ride a bike I blew my forearm (radius) right out of the skin. I really don't remember any of it, just what my Dad and sisters told. I was out like a light.

 

I remember going to see my brother in the hospital just after he was born; we entered the room out of a blank, sterile hallway, and there he was; a strange creature sleeping inside a box of four glass walls, with no lid. I was wary and distrustful.

I remember "holding up the church" with my best friend. We fit perfectly, standing with our heads braced between the ground and an overhang in the stucco. I hated Sunday school because they always told the same story, and I thought it was awful to begin with. Eventually we stopped going.

I remember being utterly rapt, watching the movie Fantasia for the first time and explaining to my dad that this was where my magic lived; you could see it in the pictures! Of course, it was REALLY in the music, but you could see it with the pictures.

 

Man, I was in the 4th grade when MSD was 2 years and 24 days old.

I remember being in my walker and going up to the front door of our house. My family tells me I fell down the stairs there once, I don't know if this was the same time. But we hadn't built the second story yet, so I was under 2 years old. I also remember planting seeds in the front yard with my grandmother before her stroke.... Somewhere prior to 5 years old. I have weird hazy memories from when I was younger. I remember part of it, but very ego-centrically, what affected me directly not all of the details of what else was going on. Which is rather age appropriate once you think about it.

 

Earliest memory? a rat or mouse on my chest in my crib maybe 8 months old.I still have a vivid picture of it and remember it like I was aware what a rat was if that is possible?. These things were common in the bronx along with cockaroachs.

 

Had a memory of my sister and I climbing out of the 2nd floor window with sheets tied together, this after being locked up in our room with 5 other siblings. Lol oh yeah I was about 7 and she 8.
