I was just thinking about this...

I don't reboot my laptop all that much. My homepage is whatever I left open when I closed the lid.

As per above, when I actually reboot and/or restart Chrome, it comes up with the three pages I've set.

One thing I'm liking about protopage is that after I've read a story it puts a line through the story title/link. It helps because I'm always updating certain topics and time is of the essence.

The NudeAutoMall, to remind myself what I'm suppose to be updating... Oh well there is always tomorrow.

For years I used MyWay and it was perfect for me until it went under. Fortunately iGoogle came along at about the same time but it never satisfied me like MyWay did. Once I started customizing the Chrome browser with widgets etc. I was using iGoogle very little. In the end the only thing I was using iGoogle for was to store my most frequently used internet bookmarks so I could log on to any computer anywhere and have easy access to them. Now I'm reduced to storing those same bookmarks in a Gmail message.

I will check out Protopage. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to easily store frequently used bookmarks so they can be accessed from shared computers like in libraries or hotel lobbies?
