Love almonds! Eat / Cook with them all the time.

Those look great, I will try them.

Ever had "Nature Valley Sweet and Salty Nut Granola Bars" - Can't get enough of these.

I find that they're not as filling as the Larabars, plus they have a bunch of ingredients I try to avoid. The cherry pie Larabars have 3 ingredients: cherries, dates, and almonds. The Kroger-owned chain near me has them for $1/bar, way cheaper than anywhere else, so I buy them by the box so I have something to grab on the go.

Going to check my Krogers today. How do they compare to Kashi?

Can't say I've ever had a Kashi bar. One of the things I like about the Larabars is that they taste like fruit and nuts, not fiber, vitamins, or protein (or some horrible chemical mixture of all three).

fflowley Don't just do something, stand there!

Went totally overboard for New Years morning breakfast.
Home made waffles with pecans and Ghirardelli chips liberally sprinkled in.
Topped with blueberries we picked last summer, and strawberries.
And drizzled with maple syrup we made in the backyard.
With a side of home made sausage.
    The kiddos loved it.
I'm not sure when any of us will need to eat again.

We did waffles, eggs, hash browns, English muffins, veggie sausages, coffee, and mimosas. My husband makes amazing waffles.

    I made French toast.
10-grain bread. Eggs, milk, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, vanilla, and protein powder in the batter. Served with butter, sliced fresh strawberries from the local ag-school, and a drizzle of agave syrup. Mmmmmm. That was heaven. And the best part was seeing the enthusiasm on my professor friend's face as she ate them. It's fun cooking for new people.
