I am reading Into the Silence.
It's about the first Everest expedition. There's a lot of historical context related to WWI that I was completely unaware of. Very interesting and well written, a good read.

BTW...if anyone wants one that will really test your knowledge and twist your noodle,
try Foucault's Pendulum by Umberto Eco (he also wrote, "In the Name of the Rose" what the movie was based on)

You'll pull every reference, culture, language, math, symbol, etc... you could ever think of reading it.

The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. I've heard the radio play, so now I'm checking out the novel. It's still funny.

Old Man's War by John Scalzi. Fits in pretty well with my current sci-fi kick.

That was a fun read. A little fluffy for me, but very entertaining, and an interesting mix of ideas.

    Cayvmann Very Tilted

Just read Patrick Rothfuss' Kingkiller Chronicles: The Name of The Wind, and The Wise Man's Fear. They were excellent. I am now reading the Hunger Games trilogy. I bought them on the kindle for my daughter, but I am finding them very entertaining, myself. I am looking for more adult fare for the near future.

I'm trying to go through the forty some boxes of books that got moved from Boston to Lincoln. It's hard to stay "on task" when I pick something up and start reading. Specifically A Canticle for Liebowitz, by Walter Miller, an old classic sci-fi apocalyptic from the 1960s. It's a quick read, since I've already read it three or four times. I just love that book.:)

Convergent Series, by Larry Niven. I like his work very much, but not so much for the Ringworld novels, for which he seems to be most famous. I like his short stories best, and this is an interesting collection from early in his career.
