And of course, it is Bernie Taupin writing the lyrics. I got turned on to EJ with Don't Shoot Me, I'm Only The Piano Player when I was age 13, I think. As is my habit, I then worked my way back in his catalog, only to find some early, odd-sounding in comparison nuggets, like All The Girls Love Alice and Empty Sky.

 

I was listening the the Producers album "Made in Basing Street" today, and remembered that I'd not got the Art of Noise debusy album, so downloaded it, then saw this.

 

This woman's talent is unreal. She puts together this song live as we listen using a sampler.
