    Last week I had warm apple cider.

    I watched the guy put the apples in an old fashioned press.

    Then I watched him crank the handle to squeeze the juices out.

    Then I watched him light the fire over the kettle he poured the juice into.

    Then I put a ladle into the hot kettle and dipped my cider out while free range chickens were pecking away at the mush and cores 10' away.



    Yeah, I'm a one-upper.

    "The guy" was a friend of mine. He brought it over to the house of another mutual friend of ours (the one I buy my beef and eggs from) for a big cookout they had there.

    So I could probably borrow his press if I wanted to. But I'm lazy and it was much easier to watch him do it and enjoy the benefit that way. :p
