    Milk, as it comes from the cow, is skim milk with cream floating on the top, and comes out of the cow at about 101.5 F. Warm milk is pretty yucky. And has no Vitamin D.
    Milk is called skim when the cream (which floats) is "skimmed" off the top. Some of the cream may be mixed back into the milk in measured amounts and you get "whole" milk (legally 4%fat) or 2% or 1% which is homogenized in huge blenders so that the cream won't separate out and float to the top. Out of the cow, Jersey cow milk can be over 7% milkfat, some Holstein cow milk might be less than 3%.
    And that's Milk 101.

    Just got home from dinner at a friend's house. His wife is from Greece, and her mom and a couple Greek friends were over. After dinner we had some uber-strong Greek coffee. It's almost midnight, I've been up since before 6AM on only a few hours' sleep, and I'm bouncing off the freaking walls.

    We shared the Duvel tonight. Not terrible, but not what I look for in a brew. Won't be on my "look for" list. What would I know? I think don't think Heineken is worthy of it's hype, either. Besides, it's the people I was sharing it with that made the night special.
