It appears that I flew 4,000 miles in the wrong direction. I'd hop on a plane for the West Coast immediately, but the jet lag alone would probably kill me. Today, I took my daughter to spend the weekend with her birth mother and (half) siblings. On the way back, I stopped at this cemetery, and took a few pictures.

The Workmen's Circle (Arbeiter Ring) is an old Yiddish socialist and fraternal organization.

The view of Portland and Mt. Hood from Pittock Mansion. Henry Pittock is yet another millionaire newspaper mogul back in 1800's, but not as eccentric as William Randolph Hearst.


Since I was the only one in my tour, my tour guide suggested a remote waterfall in the middle of the forest so we had to climb up and around rocks/trees/streams.


Stopped by the full sail brewery for a sample of their beers. And then we did a tour so we received a free beer glass.


About to get up close to Mt. Hood. Getting higher in elevation.


Slowly climbing to the mountain at 6000 ft in elevation. Had difficulty walking up the hill.


Our goal was to reach those buildings, but we managed to get near the buildings


This rock marked 7000 ft in elevation, but I was unable to get to the building because this is the highest elevation I have ever experienced (besides being on a plane)


The next day I toured Portland through the free Portlandia tour, which had about 100 people in the group because it started at 11:00am. I suggest going on a later tour with less people.
