what we got was an abortion, with the creators having only cursory knowledge of the source, or even the previous movies. Just tacked a famous name on a generic sword and sorcery movie to sell tickets.

 

Apollo 18. The theory that we were warned on the last moon mission to abandon any further exploration is far fetched, but it should be intriguing to see how it is presented.

Well I was getting interested in Apollo 18; but since they didn't show it to critics, and it has such a terrible score on rotten tomatoes I think I'll netflix it and save my money.

I second Contagion looking interesting. My interest was piqued when I saw the first trailer a couple months back.

 

I've just heard about Contagion and that is probably a front runner for me.

Everything else.. I could take it or leave it.

 

The movie lived up to my expectations. Wow. They actually made a realistic movie, even with the Internet blogging paranoid critic...

We are not even close to prepared for anything like that. I would say, that the national guard and military would be affected (which they didn't show to be the case in the movie). The military might be a little better prepared now, but they still have families.

I wonder if the CDC, WHO, national guard, police forces, and other research institutions will work on coming up with a real strategy when food distribution is limited, people shouldn't be around others in line, the economy has collapsed, and 20%-??% of people are dead.

 

Oh and how could I forget The Rum Diary.

 

Super 8 is on my Netflix list.

There are others I missed out on seeing in theaters, but I can't think of any of them at the moment.

I thought Fright Night and In Time were decent, but was not impressed with the overall story. I was unable to see Final Destination, Warrior and Anonymous, but hopefully I can catch Sherlock Holmes and The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

 

Final Destination 5?
Are they going to be showing the characters in a nursing home eventually?

 

Probably, and Death celebrates his win when they die peacefully in their sleep with family around them.
