Harold Bornstein, Trump’s eccentric ex-doctor, dies — POLITICO

And a lot of secrets die with him.

Hmm, I wonder how many people will die or disappear next???
Not that T has ever gone there...assassination isn’t his thing (of US citizens that is)

But then again, he’s never been impeached twice, lost power and lost politically, etc...
He may be a rabid rat in a corner.

    I’m just curious
Hopefully he stays true to no physical harm.

Online extremists are ignoring Trump’s call for calm

    Get ready for a brouhaha
A many crazies go after the many capitals, despite them now being prepared with military and police force. (the 1st show didn't impress for organization)

Since T isn't conceding...they're taking that as the "true" GO signal.

Turns out that these alt-right groups may be paid by foreign source thru Bitcoin. (who's fuckin' with us now???)
Exclusive: Large bitcoin payments to right-wing activists a month before Capitol riot linked to foreign account

But at least we'll have a good "half-time show" with Lady Gaga & Jennifer Lopez

Maybe this will become a new "Rollerball" event with loonies attack the military trying to get into government seats.
    Just friggin' unreal

Nixon was an immoral, deeply flawed and insecure man who ultimately engaged in criminal acts to preserve his presidency. But, IMO, he was not nearly as corrupt as Trump, who abused the office for personal gain at many levels.

And on public policy, Nixon can be credited with some significant accomplishments.

He created the EPA and signed major environmental programs into law. He ended the military draft and lowered the voting age to 18.

In foreign policy, he ended the Vietnam War, ended the nuclear arms race with Russia with the ABM treaty and opened relations with China.

Trump has no major legislative or public policy accomplishments. He reversed civil rights protections, reduced access to health care, gutted environmental laws, pulled the US out of many international treaties and lowered the reputation of the US around the world, and failed miserably in responding to, and made worse, the biggest public heslth crisis in 100 years.

    WTF?

I just had two separate quotes and replies
    merge into a confusing mess.

One of the replies took a while to write.

McConnell on the Senate floor :

“The mob was fed lies. They were provoked by the President and other powerful people, and they tried to use fear and violence to stop a specific proceeding of the first branch of the federal government which they did not like.”

Does this suggest that McConnell might be considering voting to convict Trump on the "inciting an insurrection" impeachment charge?

Or is this as far as he will go? A public informal censure of Trump.

It does NOT make me horny! (ref in the vid)
But it does make me laugh

God knows what RR will have to write about after this.
But I’m thankful for the loss of many comedians’ inspiration.

It certainly sounds as though McConnell is leaning that way. If so, he'll need some help from other Reuplicans.

I wonder MM is trying to
    Influence Conman's pardons?
    Give him a scare?
    Force some compromise(s)?

    I sincerely hope,
even if it takes a secret ballot (gag),
    the Senate convicts Trump.

I'm not sure of exactly what charges the rioters are respectively facing, but I'm sure that many are federal charges. Which I believe qualifies them for a presidential pardon.

A very wise political move would be for Conman Trump not to pardon them, especially with his impeachment trial looming. That would help (in theory?) Conman separate himself from the insurrectionists. Of course Conman is a known contrarion.

If Conman leaves them to fend for themselves, will they finally understand that Donald J. Trump only does what benefits Donald J. Trump? That he does not care about them, he's throwing them away now that he no longer needs them?

That's a thought that should be presented to the radical Trumpsters. I wonder if some factions would turn on him? If yes, Conman's life could become more complicated, even more so if he (and his family) is stripped of Secret Service protection.

Lawfare is publishing links to charging documents....

Compiling the Criminal Charges Following the Capitol Riot

Example: United States v. Mark Leffingwell : * Knowingly Entering or Remaining in any Restricted Building or Grounds Without Lawful Authority, *Assault on a Federal Law Enforcement Officer , * Violent Entry and Disorderly Conduct on Capitol Grounds

Most have been minor charges to-date (the above assault charge is certainly not minor) but the first charge of "conspiracy against the US government "was announced yesterday and more are conspiracy charges are expected as the DoJ/FBI ratchet up the investigations.

Many of the idiots among the MAGA mob made the charges easier by videotaping themselves and posting the vids on Facebook or other social media.

I just watched Conman's exit from the White House.

It appears that the only people present were reporters, some military guards, and few others.

His ego boosting rally/party will happen later. An event he (of course his staff) had to arrange. The departing ceremony at Joint Base Andrews so far seems forced....and empty.

Now the lies are pouring out of Conman.
Which includes taking credit for future recovery.
I hope this is a short speech.

There are conflicting feeling regarding Nixon ending the Vietnam War.

First many people felt like Nixon lied continously about how the war was going.

Next he kept promising to end the war, and kept the war going, to help his chances at reelection in 1972. True, false, or a serious oversimplification of a massively complex situation (complicated by lies, half-truths, and harmful omissions)?

Yep. I can't argue with that and certainly would not credit Nixon with much beyond what I suggested earlier.

    But on lies....

Trump started with lies and distortions, ended with lies and distortions...

with 30,000+ lies and distortions in between.

In 1,460 days, President Trump has made 30,558 false or misleading claims
